Central government

Negotiations over a large number of 2007 civil service pay reviews which have yet to be completed, and the reasons for this backlog.

Local government

Following a one-year deal in local government in 2007, agreed following drawn out negotiations and a ballot for industrial action by Unison, new negotiations have begun for the Local Government Services NJC 2008 pay award.
