A-Z of Pensions Factsheets
Written by HSBC Actuaries and Consultants limited.

The A-Z of Pensions Factsheets provides a comprehensive, practical guide to recent pension reforms. It covers all the changes introduced by the Finance Act 2004, and the regulatory changes introduced under the Pensions Act 2004. Subsequent developments in pensions law and practice, such as the commencement of age discrimination, are also covered, giving you a broad understanding of pensions legislation as it stands today.

The A-Z of Pensions Factsheets is a publication currently containing 42 individual factsheets covering key topics in pensions legislation. Updates and additional factsheets will be sent out twice a year as the A-Z of Pensions Factsheets develops into a single source of reference in respect of pensions law and practice.

Each factsheet identifies who is affected, what needs to be done, highlights the implications, summarises the situation and provides technical notes explaining the subject in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Individual factsheets are usually from two to eight sides of A4 paper depending on how complex the subject is.

The factsheets are written by John Wilson LLB (Hons) ACII APMI and Stewart Lee BSc FFA, who head up the Research Function at HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the HSBC Group. For more information visit www.hacl.hsbc.com.
