Extract from IDS Executive Compensation Review 317 Management salary guidelines Every quarter, we ask a cross-section of employers for details of their latest pay awards along with indicative salaries for directors, managers and professionals. To provide a broad overview of trends and a guide to salary levels, this article brings together the results from our findings for the full year running from May 2006 to April 2007. Employers are asked to indicate the minimum and maximum salaries of the groups included in their the reviews, and while these are only intended to be indicative, they nevertheless provide a useful a guide to the rates received across different industries and sizes of organisation by each of the four management groups we regularly cover. Altogether, this research provides a breakdown of minimum, maximum and midpoint salaries for four levels of seniority: board; senior managers; junior and middle managers, and professional and technical staff . Tables are included showing average pay awards by industry and indicative salary ranges by management level and employee numbers, as well as by sector.
