Extract from IDS Executive Compensation Review 310 Management pay awards move up in last quarter As we enter the new year, an indication of the management pay award trends is provided by our latest quarterly round-up. This quarter, we collected details on some 75 private and public sector management and professional salary reviews conducted during the three months to October 2006. Our last pay award round-up of 2006 shows that, compared to the previous quarter, salary increases for public and private sector managers and professionals had gone up. This suggests that employers are increasing their pay budgets in response to higher cost-of-living pressures. This article includes tables showing the latest pay awards by management level in both public and private sector companies as well as salary indicators for each management group.
