Extract from IDS Executive Compensation Review 308 Non-executive board fees in the FTSE 350This month we feature the results of our seventh annual review of non-executive director (NED) fees. This year's research is based on information on the fee rates paid to chairmen, committee chairmen and ordinary non-executives sitting on the boards of nearly 95 per cent of the top 350 listed companies. As last year, companies continue to point to the pressures put on NEDs by increased workloads resulting from corporate governance requirements. For our latest survey of non-executive remuneration we looked at the fee data for over 1,800 non-executive roles in 332 FTSE 350 companies, including all of the FTSE 100. Data is presented in aggregate tables showing the median, interquartile and average NED rates for specific non-executive roles and a detailed picture of fee rates by named organisation is also provided.
