Top pay in public bodies and agencies

For the fifth year running we take a look at directors' pay in executive agencies and public bodies. For our analysis, remuneration details have been drawn from the latest available annual accounts with year-end dates running to 31 March 2006. In all, we looked at the reports of 28 public bodies and 48 executive agencies, and collected and analysed pay data for a total of 91 directors of public bodies and 244 directors of executive agencies.

This article includes tables showing aggregate pay levels for a range of executive positions as well as more detailed tables providing information on the pay packages for lead executives in named public bodies and executive agencies.
