When do you update your website? The IDS website is updated whenever a new publication is sent to subscribers. In addition, the latest statistics on inflation, average earnings and unemployment are available by 2pm (GMT) on the day of release in our Statistics pages. What is the best way to view your site? Our site is designed for use with Internet Explorer 4 and later versions. It should be equally accessible in Netscape 6.1 and later versions, and Opera 7.1. You may experience some problems in earlier browsers. Browsers should be Java-enabled although alternative links for the main navigation buttons can be found at the bottom of each page for use with browsers that do not support Java. Pages are designed for a display resolution of 800 x 600 or higher at a minimum of 256 colours. Reading PDF documentsSome of the material on this website is in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF). This is a common file format which keeps the formatting of the original document and is easy to print. To read a PDF file you need Adobe's Acrobat Reader software. You can download this free of charge from Adobe's website. Can I link to the IDS website? You may link to the IDS website and we prefer that you link to our home page. Our site may not be framed without permission from Webmaster and the IDS logo may not be used for the link without permission. In general, we do not offer a reciprocal hyperlink although we will consider any such request on its merits. Who writes IDS publications? All IDS publications are researched and written by in-house teams who are experts in their field. In all there are more than 40 professional research staff, ranging from employment lawyers and personnel specialists to linguists monitoring developments in continental Europe. Each year, IDS researchers talk to hundreds of organisations, they visit scores of companies to gather information at first hand, they speak to audiences of senior personnel, employment law and pensions specialists and they handle thousands of enquiries. This type of day-to-day contact is essential for us to keep subscribers in touch with developments and to ensure that were meeting their needs. Its one of the key reasons IDS is widely regarded as an authority on employment issues. How can I find out about job opportunities at IDS?We advertise our vacancies in the appropriate national press (usually the Guardian, and the Times for employment law posts). When we have a vacancy, details can be accessed from our home page. Do you carry advertising?IDS Diversity at Work carries advertising and there are other sponsorship opportunities. Call our Customer Services Manager on 0845 600 9355 for more details. Please note, however, that we never sell our lists of subscribers and customers. |
