HR Policy & Practice

The latest HR research from IDS HR Studies looks at employee engagement surveys. The Study looks at the key issues around survey implementation, including designing a questionnaire, and analysing and acting on the results. It includes detailed case studies of the employee surveys in operation at five organisations and a guide to suppliers.

Also recently published by the IDS HR Studies team is The HR Function. This report is based on the first ever IDS survey of HR structures, pay and conditions, and draws on the responses of almost 180 organisations employing over 7,000 HR staff and around 600,000 employees. The HR Function outlines HR staffing levels, looks at how different organisations structure their HR departments, examines median salaries across four areas of HR, considers the growing role of technology in HR, and explores the current top priorities for HR.

Now available from IDS is HR Policy & Practice: Key issues for 2010. This compendium brings together six IDS HR Studies published in the last 12 months that cover some of the key issues for HR professionals for 2010: Managing Redundancy; Employee Engagement; Absence Management; Managing Stress; Performance Management; and Training Strategies.
