All of our work is focused on employment-related areas and our output draws on almost 50 years’ experience in this field. The first IDS publication – IDS Pay Report – was launched in 1966 with one very simple aim: to provide accurate and timely information that could be put to practical use by all those involved in determining pay, benefits and related employment policies in Britain. From this one very simple idea, IDS has grown with our clients (customers) to offer services that span across the HR, pay and reward, and employment law fields. We provide subscription services, publish a wide range of publications across the HR field, run conferences and training courses, and offer bespoke research. We have provided expertise to thousands of businesses, government, trade unions and tribunals for over 45 years. In September 2005 the company was acquired by Sweet & Maxwell, part of Thomson Reuters.
