Looking at DC contributions and funding levels

An analysis of the contributions being paid into 57 trust-based DC occupational pension schemes carried out by the IDS Pensions Service shows that the annual average contribution paid in respect of an active member was £2,633. The average fund built up by an active or deferred member in 55 of these schemes was £9,915

How will the 2012 pension reforms affect pension schemes?

The 2007 Annual Survey from the NAPF has found that almost a third of private sector DB schemes remain open to new members. It also looks at whether employers who already offer good pension schemes expect to be affected by the introduction of personal accounts and the requirement to use automatic enrolment from 2012.
